Dismembered Woman Found in Abandoned Detroit Home

A family is in shock today after discovering the dismembered body of a family member in an abandoned Detroit home Monday, June 9. Alicia Fox, 27, and her two children were last seen late May.

Her family filed missing persons reports and has spent the last two weeks frantically and tirelessly searching for her in the surrounding areas of the city.

Hours before the family’s discovery, the Detroit Police had released a serious missing-persons alert for the mother and children.

The victim’s family received an anonymous tip on where to find Fox’s body.

The family entered a two-story, boarded-up home on the west side of Detroit to find a gruesome crime scene.

Fox’s uncle, Michael Fields, says he found her in the basement of the home underneath a rotten door with her legs cut off at the knees.

“From the gruesomeness of the crime scene, it must have taken someone with a whole lot of heart to do what they did to her,” Fields said while sobbing. “When I saw that, I knew I was looking at a crime scene. She was right there. She was right there under a rotten door.”

The family searched the rest of the home for the Fox’s two children, 6-month-old Erin and 6-year-old Kaylah, but their efforts were unsuccessful. They will continue searching for the children.

The police have yet to confirm the identity of the body as Alicia Fox.
